Actor Lawrence Robb, known for his role in the ITV soap Emmerdale, joined the cast of the BBC One competition Strictly Come Dancing. To accommodate his participation, his character in Emmerdale was written out of the show temporarily with a storyline involving a move to Germany.

During the competition, Robb was paired with professional dancer Jowita Przystał. The pair earned 30 points from judges for a high-energy salsa routine featuring daring lifts. Following the performance, Przystał jokingly suggested a dramatic return storyline for Robb’s character involving a long-lost sister.
