The internal conflict within the Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) has intensified, moving from governance disputes to a struggle over physical assets and financial control. 

Following a court decision that denied leadership a stay on upcoming elections, President Poonam Dhillon and General Secretary Padmini Kolhapure reportedly moved association records from the official office to a different location, characterizing the move as seeking a ‘safer place.’

In a reciprocal escalation, Kolhapure has accused Upasana Singh and Deepak Parashar of freezing the association’s bank accounts. This freeze has reportedly halted welfare activities and prevented the payment of staff salaries. 

Amidst these developments, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has scheduled fresh elections for September 12, following the mass resignations of executive committee members in August.
