Developments: 2. Lebanese Agriculture Minister Nizar Hani has initiated efforts to strengthen the country’s agricultural sector through administrative reforms and field inspections. Following Decree No. 3871, the Minister promoted 24 staff members to leadership roles within the General Directorate of Agriculture. This move is intended to reactivate the ministry’s administrative and technical hierarchy, address vacancies, and ensure efficiency and meritocracy in implementing agricultural policies. Subsequently, Minister Hani conducted field tours in the Bekaa Valley and Chouf regions to inspect various projects. In the Bekaa, focus was placed on modernizing production through technology and improving post-harvest services to meet export standards.
