Lech Poznań is navigating internal discussions regarding player management and squad succession. Veteran defender Joel Pereira has publicly critiqued the club’s youth development, suggesting that while talent identification is strong, issues with player motivation and the premature sale of academy products to higher-level leagues have hindered long-term success. Pereira specifically identified Filip Szymczak as a player with significant potential.

Following these observations, sporting director Tomasz Rząsa addressed the club’s roster planning. The club is working toward a contract extension for striker Mikael Ishak while simultaneously preparing for his eventual succession. To address future needs, the club is looking toward academy prospects Szymczak and Jakóbczyk, while also evaluating the development of backup striker Yannick Agnero.
