Bayern Munich player Lennart Karl has faced internal scrutiny following a period of reduced performance and injury. Honorary president Uli Hoeneß publicly criticized the 18-year-old, stating, “He is still far from being a superstar. Young players need humility,” while expressing concerns regarding the player being overprotected and his social media presence.

Sporting director Max Eberl has defended Karl, characterizing his current form as a “completely normal process” for a young professional recovering from injury.

Amidst these internal dynamics, several major European clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United, are reportedly monitoring the winger. While Karl remains under contract with Bayern Munich until June 2029, his profile as a technical finisher has also attracted interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona.
