In September 2026, the group announced the simultaneous acquisition of four hotels in Berlin, Düsseldorf, and Dortmund, adding 1,040 rooms to its portfolio. These properties target the corporate, leisure, and MICE sectors. The Berlin acquisitions include two properties near Alexanderplatz, while the North Rhine-Westphalia additions consist of a hotel near Düsseldorf’s central station and a property in Dortmund slated for renovation. Following these acquisitions, the company opened the Leonardo Hannover Medical Park in October 2026. This project involved merging two separate buildings into a single 208-room establishment in Hannover. The hotel, which targets business travelers and trade fair attendees, utilized a cooperation with Tui Blue for specific room designs and focused on the sustainable modernization of existing real estate. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-08: Leonardo Hannover Medical Park opens in Germany Leonardo Hotels Central Europe has opened the Leonardo Hannover Medical Park in Germany, merging two separate buildings into a single 208-room hotel focused on business travelers. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/leonardo-hannover-medical-park-opens-in-germany ### 2026-09-16: Leonardo Hotels expands German presence with four new acquisitions Leonardo Hotels Central Europe has acquired four hotels in Berlin, Düsseldorf, and Dortmund, adding 1,040 rooms to strengthen its presence in the German corporate and leisure markets. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/leonardo-hotels-expands-german-presence-with-four-new-acquisitions --- Cite as: Leonardo Hotels expansion in Germany.
