The Coachella Valley is hosting several LGBTQ+ community milestones and initiatives. In late September, preparations were announced for the 10th anniversary of East Coachella Valley Pride, featuring health and wellness sessions and a community festival. Additionally, the 40th anniversary of Greater Palm Springs Pride was highlighted, with increased corporate sponsorship expected to support an event projected to draw over 200,000 attendees and generate significant economic impact.

Expanding on these community developments, the Coachella Valley Pride Hockey League (CVPHL) announced its inaugural season, scheduled to begin on October 16, 2026. Operated by a nonprofit association, the league aims to provide inclusive spaces for approximately 60 LGBTQ+ athletes to participate in ice hockey.
