Liga Deportiva Alajuelense has experienced a series of matches impacted by adverse weather and disciplinary issues in the Costa Rican football league.

In a match against Puntarenas FC at the Miguel ‘Lito’ Pérez Stadium, a heavy rainstorm caused a weather delay lasting over ninety minutes. Following the resumption of play, Alajuelense conceded a last-minute goal, resulting in a draw.
