The 2026-27 Liga Mexicana del Pacífico (LMP) season commenced with the Charros de Jalisco defending their championship title. In their season opener, the Charros defeated the Jaguares de Nayarit 8-5 at Estadio Panamericano, driven by a five-run rally in the fourth inning. Jacob Robson opened the scoring with a two-run home run, while Reynaldo Rodríguez contributed a perfect 3-for-3 performance. Luis Iván Rodríguez earned the win, and Dan Kubiuk secured the save.

Following that initial game, the Charros secured a 6-0 victory over the Jaguares, led by six scoreless innings from pitcher Patrick Murphy. Charros de Jalisco subsequently won the third game of their series against the Jaguares de Nayarit with a 9-6 victory, taking the series 2-1 and improving their regular season record to 4-1.

In separate action, Águilas de Mexicali completed a series sweep against Yaquis de Obregón with a 5-0 shutout. However, the Yaquis later saw their winning streak interrupted when the Cañeros de Los Mochis defeated them 2-1 in ten innings, secured by a walk-off sacrifice fly from Randy Romero.

The Venados de Mazatlán, who previously struggled with a 2-7 record, staged a comeback against the Charros de Jalisco. After losing the opening game 9-1, the Venados won the second game 6-4 and completed the series victory with a 5-4 win in the ninth inning of the third game. Elkin Alcalá earned the win in the series clincher, which was sealed after Orlando Piña drew a walk.
