In recent Ligue 1 fixtures, Stade Brestois has been involved in closely contested matches. On October 18, Lille OSC and Brest played to a 1-1 draw, with Mame Baldé scoring early for Brest and 40-year-old Olivier Giroud equalizing for Lille via a penalty.

On October 22, OGC Nice secured a 2-1 comeback victory against Stade Brestois at the Stade Francis-Le Blé, marking Nice’s first away win of the season. Despite an early goal from Ludovic Ajorque in the 15th minute following a goalkeeper error by Yéhvann Diouf, Nice responded in the second half with goals from Elye Wahi and Sofiane Diop. The victory was sealed in stoppage time when Diouf saved a penalty taken by Brest’s Kenny Lala. The result moved Nice to eighth place with 11 points, while Brest dropped to 11th with 9 points.

The match included tributes to the late former Brest coach and Nice native Éric Roy, who passed away last summer; both clubs honored his memory with commemorative armbands worn by the captains.
