Lin Kuo-chang, a Democratic Progressive Party candidate for Yilan County Magistrate, has introduced a series of development strategies focused on technological and economic transformation. His ‘Yilan Golden Decade Industrial Development Plan’ emphasizes the integration of AI into local industries, the establishment of Yilan as a testing hub for drones and unmanned vehicles, and the migration of industries from the Taipei metropolitan area to the region.

Lin’s platform also includes a ‘healthy lifestyle new economy’ targeting the elderly population through medical and agricultural services. To support these goals, he has launched a Youth Support Association to engage local residents and has proposed infrastructure improvements, such as railway elevation and high-speed rail extensions, alongside the development of 400 housing units for young families.
