The Linares City Council has undertaken several infrastructure modernization projects to improve local sports facilities. 

In early September, the council completed a renovation of the Pabellón Julián Jiménez sports facility, involving an investment of over 471,000 euros. The project addressed structural issues, such as a ceiling collapse caused by water infiltration, by replacing false ceilings, roofs, and insulation. Technological upgrades included the installation of LED lighting with domotic controls.

Following this, plans were announced for the Linares indoor swimming pool to receive a new climate control and dehumidification system. This upgrade, a collaboration between the City Council and Linaqua, aims to replace aging equipment and mitigate damage caused by winter storms to improve facility efficiency and user comfort.
