Lisbon Metro has undergone several infrastructure works and station re-openings during August 2026.

Cais do Sodré station, which had been closed since August 8 for railway signaling upgrades related to the future Circular Line, was scheduled to reopen on August 27. This reopening restored normal service on the Green Line between Telheiras and Cais do Sodré.

Separately, the Praça de Espanha station platform, closed since August 10, was scheduled to reopen on August 31 for trains heading toward Santa Apolónia. While new elevators in the north atrium became operational, rehabilitation works at the station are expected to continue through October to improve accessibility and conservation. Future work at Praça de Espanha includes the closure of the Reboleira-bound platform from September 3 to September 28 and pavement interventions in the south atrium between September 14 and October 12.
