The Malatya region has hosted several literary and educational initiatives. The 12th Malatya Book Fair, themed ‘A City Strengthened by Books,’ featured nearly 300 publishing houses and over 300 authors at the Mişmiş Park Fairground. Notable participants included author Yusuf Tosun, who presented his work on Mehmet Âkif Ersoy, and Prof. Dr. Nurullah Genç, who discussed the relationship between poetry and management.

Following these events, National Education Minister Yusuf Tekin attended the regional launch of the “Kitap Kurtları Yarışıyor” (Bookworms are Competing) program at İnönü University. Organized by the Türkiye Gençlik Vakfı (TÜGVA), the program aims to promote reading among students.
