Various literary gatherings and summits have taken place in Colombia. In late September, Chiquinquirá hosted the XLVII International Writers' Encounter, a major cultural event for Colombian and Hispanic-American literature. This edition was the first held following the death of longtime organizer Raúl Ospina Ospina and featured ceremonies including a “Concierto de la palabra” at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary.

In mid-October, the VII Encuentro de Escritoras de Caldas was held in Manizales. This summit brought together approximately 70 female authors from 12 Colombian municipalities and five Latin American countries to focus on literary exchange and the role of literature in preserving community memory.
