The KIC Budo Tomović cultural institution in Montenegro hosted literary presentations for new works by Sofija Drakulović and Sofija Kordić.

Poet Sofija Drakulović presented her collection ‘Ispovijesti su gore nego psovke’, discussing her creative process and the use of social critique to examine societal patterns. Following this, author and journalist Sofija Kordić presented her novel ‘Smrt bez samoglasnika’ (Death Without Vowels). 

Kordić’s novel, which explores themes of mental health, suicide, and loss, utilizes a dialogue format between a narrator and a deceased friend. During the presentation, Kordić discussed the boundaries of autofiction and explained that the title reflects her view of death as something heavy, whereas vowels represent ‘light and clarity’.
