The Lithuanian government has moved to expand its Culture Pass programme to include preschool-aged children and students attending Lithuanian schools abroad. Initially proposed to include roughly 100,000 preschoolers by 2028 and 10,000 students abroad by 2029, the initiative aims to integrate cultural education at an earlier stage.

Following an expert evaluation of 1,876 applications, the program is set to expand its offerings this September. The total selection of available activities has grown to over 5,800 options, covering sectors such as museums, theaters, music, literature, cinema, and architecture. The program’s budget for the current year is approximately €5.2 million, representing an increase of nearly €1.2 million compared to the previous year.
