Ho Chi Minh City is experiencing a significant surge in live music activity, with eight major concerts scheduled over a single weekend. These events are expected to draw more than 200,000 spectators across various venues, including Phu Tho Stadium, Nguyen Du Stadium, and the Global City. Key performances include ‘Tinh ha say hi’ and ‘Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai,’ which are expected to attract at least 150,000 fans. High demand for these shows resulted in tickets selling out within hours, with some premium tiers reaching 50 million VND, prompting organizers to add extra performance dates.

The ‘Tinh Hà Say Hi’ concert took place on October 17 at Van Phuc City, featuring 24 artists. While the event drew thousands of fans, the program faced logistical challenges; the absence of regular host Trấn Thành led to “moments of awkwardness and interrupted pacing” during dialogue segments. On the same day, the ‘Anh trai vượt ngàn chông gai’ concert attracted approximately 50,000 spectators. Despite high attendance, the ‘Anh Trai Vuot Ngan Chong Gai’ event was marred by reports of over 20 fan clubs being victims of a scam involving a middleman named M., who allegedly failed to deliver banner and flag projects.

The influx of approximately 200,000 attendees over the October 17-18 weekend has significantly boosted the local economy. Hotel bookings saw a massive spike, with Trip.com data indicating a more than sevenfold increase in reservations. Local hotels, such as the Grand Saigon and Vien Dong, reported occupancy rates reaching 95-96%. Revenue for organizers is being driven by ticket sales, corporate sponsorships from banking and FMCG sectors, and high-margin secondary sources.
