Liverpool FC has finalized a major commercial transition, agreeing to a five-year, front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with Turkish Airlines valued at over £300 million. Set to take effect on June 1, 2027, the agreement will see the airline’s branding featured on the match shirts of the men’s, women’s, and academy teams, providing more than £60 million in annual revenue.

This milestone marks the conclusion of a 17-year partnership with Standard Chartered regarding shirt sponsorship. However, Standard Chartered will not depart the club entirely, instead remaining as a global partner following the end of the current shirt agreement. 

This new deal represents a significant increase from the current annual sponsorship from Standard Chartered, which is valued at approximately £50 million. If confirmed, the agreement is expected to be the most lucrative front-of-shirt sponsorship in Premier League history.

Liverpool’s Chief Commercial Officer, Ben Latty, described the partnership as a “milestone announcement,” highlighting the historical connection to the club’s 2005 Champions League victory in Istanbul. Turkish Airlines CEO Ahmet Olmustur expressed satisfaction in becoming the main partner for the club.

On the roster side, the club continues to manage the loan of Uruguayan defender Ronald Araújo from Barcelona, which includes an option to purchase the player for approximately £47.14 million next summer.
