Liverpool expressed interest in triggering the £25m (€30m) release clause for Valencia winger David Otorbi to bolster their right-wing options. In response, Valencia extended the 19-year-old’s contract to 2031 and doubled his release clause to approximately £50m (€60m).

By late October, Liverpool reportedly ruled out a mid-season transfer for the player during the January window. While the club continues to view the Spanish U18 international as a long-term prospect, they are prioritizing immediate-impact signings and appear reluctant to pay the increased fee mid-season. A deal is currently considered unlikely until the summer transfer period.
