Community events and local activities are scheduled across Victoria and South Australia throughout late September.

In mid-September, Victoria hosts various festivals including the NFL Kickoff Festival, the Melbourne Model Train Show, and the Puffing Billy Running Festival. South Australia features several regional farmers markets in areas such as the Adelaide Hills, Barossa, and Willunga.

By late September, scheduled activities in Adelaide include comedy performances, research presentations, and school holiday camps, alongside a centennial celebration at Patritti winery. Victorian events transition toward live music performances, community singing, and author book signings.
