Local administrative initiatives in Sicily have focused on improving urban management and territorial planning. In Pantelleria, proposals were introduced to create a dedicated municipal office to ensure continuous maintenance of the historic center, public greenery, and architectural identity. Similarly, in Magliano, the Agenda Partecipata group suggested a new management model for the Parco della Scienza, proposing a consortium of local operators to handle security, cleaning, and maintenance.

In Petralia Soprana, the municipality received a 55,000 euro contribution from the Sicilian Region to assist in drafting a new General Urban Plan (PUG). This project, estimated to cost approximately 104,000 euros, aims to modernize the town’s governance and replace planning frameworks that have been in place since 1979. The process will include various specialized geological, environmental, and socio-economic studies.
