The 2026 London International Awards (LIA) commenced with judging sessions held in Las Vegas, where a global jury of creative professionals began evaluating thousands of entries. The awards introduced new categories, such as ‘Cultural Catalyst’ and ‘Democracy and Human Rights’, to address the evolving creative landscape.

During the Creative LIAisons program, attendees were granted access to jury rooms to observe the debate process for Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Grand LIA statues. Jurors evaluated entries based on execution ambition, freshness, surprise, and the clarity of case studies. Discussions emphasized the necessity of cultural context and the ability to defend creative instincts against analytical scrutiny.

Louise McQuat, Global ECD at Akcelo, served as a juror for the Digital and Creators & Social Platforms categories. Representing Australia, McQuat noted the significant breadth of global creativity, observing that many high-quality campaigns exist outside of standard social media feeds.

Following the judging process, the LIA and its Creative LIAisons sessions highlighted emerging industry trends. Key discussions focused on influencer marketing, specifically the importance of respecting creator intellectual property and integrating brands organically. Other industry insights emphasized the value of personal curiosity in talent acquisition, the strategic integration of music during the early stages of production, and the necessity of diverse talent rosters in audiovisual work.
