The Metropolitan Police have initiated separate murder investigations in different areas of London.

In Feltham, south-west London, authorities launched a probe after human remains, believed to be those of a woman aged 25 to 45, were discovered in a woodland area known as The Pits. The remains were found near Padstow Walk following a recent wildfire that damaged the surrounding shrubland. Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley indicated that investigators are working to identify the victim and determine the circumstances of her death.

In a separate incident in Lambeth, south London, police are investigating the death of a man in his 30s. Emergency services were called to a property on Poynders Road after the London Fire Brigade gained entry and discovered the man with serious head injuries. Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell stated that the incident is believed to be “isolated” with “no evidence to suggest any wider risk” to the public.
