Londrina’s struggle to avoid relegation in the Brazilian Série B reached a conclusion in late October 2026. Initially, a 1-0 victory against Cuiabá provided a “vital lifeline,” preventing the club’s mathematical relegation to Série C from being confirmed during the 34th round of the competition.

However, this reprieve was short-lived. Following a 2-1 defeat to CRB in the 35th round at the Rei Pelé stadium, Londrina’s mathematical relegation to Série C was confirmed. CRB secured the victory with first-half goals from Crystopher and Danielzinho, while Igor Bahia scored for Londrina in the second half. The win moved CRB into the G-6 zone with 55 points, giving them a 52.6% probability of advancing to the playoffs according to mathematical projections from UFMG.

Londrina remains in 18th place with 32 points with only three matches remaining in the season. The club joins América-MG and Ponte Preta as teams relegated from the second division, following a campaign where they spent 25 of the 35 rounds in the relegation zone.
