The Mexican cumbia group Los Ángeles Azules is set to receive cultural recognition in Los Angeles through the dedication of ‘Los Ángeles Azules Square’. The new landmark will be located at the intersection of Van Nuys Boulevard and Chase Street in the Panorama City community of the San Fernando Valley.

Scheduled for September 14, 2026, the ceremony will be led by District 6 Councilmember Imelda Padilla as part of Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations. The event is intended to honor the group’s decades-long career and their cultural influence on the Latino community.
