The Lotería Nacional has conducted several commemorative draws in Mexico. In late August, the Sorteo Zodiaco No. 1759 was held to honor the 26th anniversary of the Comisión Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas (CONANP), with a 1.1 million peso grand prize ticket sold in Veracruz.

Following this, the Sorteo Magno No. 392 was held to mark the 216th anniversary of Mexican Independence. Presided over by Director General Olivia Salomón, the event featured a grand prize of 104 million pesos and a second prize of 12 million pesos. During the draw, Salomón referenced the institution’s 256-year history and shared a message from President Claudia Sheinbaum regarding sovereignty and freedom.

On September 20, 2026, the Lotería Nacional held Sorteo Zodiaco No. 1761 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Heroico Colegio Militar’s current location in Tlalpan. The event was led by Director General Olivia Salomón and Brigadier General Francisco Javier Zubia González, Director of the Heroico Colegio Militar. To mark the occasion, 2.4 million commemorative tickets were issued featuring the image of the military academy. The ceremony recognized five decades of training personnel under principles of honor, discipline, and loyalty since the academy moved from Popotla to Tlalpan on September 13, 1976. The draw featured a grand prize of 7 million pesos and took place at the Teatro Lotería Nacional, an architectural complex designed by Agustín Hernández Navarro that incorporates pre-Hispanic cultural elements.
