Lotte Department Store is undertaking several major retail developments in Seoul. In October 2026, the company opened Lotte Mall Bellytown Cheongnyangni in Dongdaemun-gu, located in the Lotte Castle SKY-L65 Landmark Tower. This complex, which features approximately 50 brands, represents the retailer’s first new store opening in the capital in 15 years.

Concurrently, the company announced a large-scale renewal of the food hall at its Jamsil branch. This project, scheduled for completion in the first half of 2028, aims to create a ‘luxury gourmet specialized hall’ divided into ‘EATS’ and ‘BUY’ zones. The renovation is being designed by the U.S.-based studio Roman and Williams.
