Professional darts player Luke Humphries has recently been the subject of discussion regarding his historical standing in the sport. Following achievements such as winning the World Championship and completing the Triple Crown, analysts have debated his status as an all-time top ten player, particularly in light of the rise of Luke Littler.

During the Swiss Darts Trophy, Humphries reached the final, maintaining an average of over 100 points across five matches and setting a tournament record average of 114.15 during a match against Krzysztof Ratajski.

However, Humphries subsequently withdrew from the European Darts Championship in Dortmund due to gastroenteritis. Following PDC regulations, he was replaced in the tournament by Kim Huybrechts.
