The electronic music project M83, led by Anthony Gonzalez, is preparing to release its tenth studio album, titled ‘I Wrote You a Letter’.

In early September, the band released the lead single ‘Blister Sunrise’, which features a cinematic sound with heavy synths and shoegaze elements. Gonzalez described the upcoming project as a spontaneous effort intended to rediscover the looseness of the project’s earliest recordings.

The full nine-track album, recorded between Los Angeles and Paris with collaborator Benoît de Villeneuve, is scheduled for release on September 25, 2026. The release marks a milestone 25 years after the project’s debut and follows the 2023 album ‘Fantasy’.
