The Greek satellite television service Magenta TV, operated by OTE, has secured a five-year license extension from the National Council for Radio and Television (ESR). The new license is valid until 2031 and covers 63 channels. As part of the extension, the service will transition from the ‘COSMOTE TV’ brand to the ‘MAGENTA TV’ or ‘T MAGENTA TV’ logo by September 7, 2026.

Following the licensing update, MagentaTV expanded its content offerings through a partnership with Amazon MGM Studios. Beginning in November, the platform will gradually add 18 new Hollywood titles across various genres, including action, science fiction, and comedy. This collaboration is intended to strengthen the platform’s cinematic lineup with major productions such as ‘Masters of the Universe’ and ‘The Accountant 2’.
