Grupo Marina has approved a major expansion project for Mall Curicó in Chile’s Maule Region, involving an investment of approximately 49 billion Chilean pesos (1.2 million UF).

The project entails constructing roughly 42,000 square meters of new space, including 11,000 square meters of leasable commercial area intended for more than 70 new small and medium-sized retail stores. The development also includes the construction of two levels of underground parking, providing approximately 400 new spaces.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027. The underground parking is expected to be completed by late 2027, with the commercial opening of the new stores projected for the second half of 2028. The expansion is expected to create approximately 450 permanent jobs, increasing the center’s total workforce to around 1,870 people.
