Efforts to mitigate canine anxiety caused by seasonal loud noises, such as fireworks and festivals, have expanded from general management advice to the release of specialized digital tools.

Initial guidance focused on environmental management, such as creating quiet indoor spaces, using white noise to mask external sounds, and avoiding forced exposure to stressors. In some regions, pharmaceutical formulations like Stressza have been developed to assist with situational stress.

More recently, charitable organizations in Ireland and the United Kingdom have introduced specific resources to address these triggers. Dogs Trust Ireland launched a ‘Sound Blanket’ consisting of nine sounds designed to mask firework acoustic patterns, while the UK-based Guide Dogs charity released ‘The National Fireworks Archive’ to facilitate pet desensitization through training videos.
