Urban infrastructure and mobility projects in Manaus have progressed through various stages of renovation and new construction.

In late July, the Municipal Institute of Urban Mobility (IMMU) completed upgrades at the Parque das Nações transit station, which included repairing elevators, replacing benches, and renovating access walkways. Simultaneously, reconstruction of a lower passage in the Chapada neighbourhood reached approximately 60% completion, involving drainage upgrades, LED lighting, and road signage improvements.

By mid-August, focus shifted to the Passarão road complex in the West Zone. To facilitate the installation of 24 large pre-molded beams, temporary traffic changes were implemented on Avenida Brasil and Avenida Coronel Teixeira between August 13 and September 15. Mayor Renato Junior noted that while the official deadline is June 2027, efforts are being made to deliver the elevated portion by May of the following year to ease traffic toward the São Jorge neighbourhood.

On August 15, the Municipal Secretariat of Infrastructure (Seminf) announced the successful completion of the beam lifting process, finishing one day ahead of schedule. This milestone brings the viaduct portion of the project to 72% completion. Ongoing work includes pre-slabs, scaffolding, pile drilling, and the installation of ‘New Jersey’ concrete barriers for vehicle safety. Following the completion of the beam installation, traffic in the region has been restored.
