Manchester United has launched a sale of memorabilia consisting of 7 x 7 centimeter sections of Old Trafford turf preserved in glass cubes. Priced at £125 each, the items were created following a major pitch overhaul led by groundskeeper Tony Sinclair, which marked the first complete removal and replacement of the playing surface in 14 years to improve drainage and player safety.

The initiative occurs as the club manages significant financial pressures, including a total debt exceeding £1 billion and expenditures of over £60 million for land acquisition related to a potential new stadium project.

Following the initial release, the club reported that the first stock of preserved turf cubes sold out. While the product was initially offered with exclusive access to members and season-ticket holders, it has received mixed reactions from supporters regarding the price point.
