Manchester United has announced the signing of 16-year-old midfielder David Eze from Manchester City. Eze, a box-to-box midfielder noted for his ball control and passing ability, has signed a pre-professional contract and is expected to join the U18 side.

Eze, who was born in the Republic of Ireland and has received 13 call-ups for England at the U13 and U14 levels, remains open to representing Ireland. This acquisition follows the recent addition of another Manchester City youth player, Karim Cassim, as the club seeks to strengthen its academy ranks.
