Manchester United has officially confirmed the signing of 16-year-old winger Isaac Konde from Liverpool. The deal, which follows Konde’s regular appearances for Liverpool’s Under-18 side during the 2025/26 campaign, involves a one-year scholarship intended to transition into a five-year professional contract.

Negotiations regarding a compensation package have concluded, with Liverpool expected to receive at least one million pounds. Konde, noted for his explosive pace, direct running, and ability to engage defenders in one-on-one duels from the left wing, is set to join Manchester United’s Under-18 squad as part of a long-term development plan.

This acquisition continues a trend of intense academy recruitment battles between major English clubs and follows previous United academy signings, such as 17-year-old midfielder Karim Cassim.
