Mandla Ncikazi has been appointed as the head coach of Lamontville Golden Arrows, succeeding Pitso Dladla, who left the club after a five-game winless streak. Ncikazi returns to the KwaZulu-Natal-based club following a tenure at Orlando Pirates, where he served as an assistant coach and was part of a technical team that secured nine trophies.

Ncikazi described the appointment as a ‘pre-destination’ and expressed a desire for a new professional challenge. He noted an interest in working with younger players and testing himself in a different environment. Upon his return, he acknowledged immediate tactical challenges caused by a demanding fixture schedule that limits training time between matches.
