Margareth Serrão, mother of Brazilian influencer Virginia Fonseca, has been the subject of social media scrutiny regarding her personal relationships and connections.

In mid-September, Serrão drew attention after unfollowing several individuals on Instagram, including João Guilherme and close friends of Fonseca, such as Duda Freire and Hebert Gomes. Some reports suggested the move followed alleged friction between Serrão and Gomes.

By early October, the focus shifted to rumors regarding Serrão’s financial involvement in romantic relationships. Serrão denied allegations that she has ever financially supported a partner, refuting claims that a former boyfriend was a “gigolô”. She stated she has never even paid for a bottle of water during outings with partners, emphasizing her commitment to female financial autonomy. Her current partner, singer Danilo Sanfoneiro, has also denied rumors of receiving financial assistance from her.
