Regarding her professional status, Kanellis stated that AEW extended her contract by three months while she was hospitalized following surgery to remove the tumor. She noted the extension provided a vital recovery period before her contract expired. She credited her husband, Mike Bennett, for providing the support necessary to navigate these challenges.
