Marink Reedijk, a 35-year-old Dutch coach previously of SK Beveren, was appointed as the new manager of Hibernian FC in the Scottish Premiership. The club sought to improve its tenth-place standing following a difficult start to the season.

In his managerial debut following an international break, Reedijk’s side lost 1-0 to Dundee United at Tannadice. The match was decided by a first-half goal from Daniel Bennie, and Hibernian finished the game with ten men after substitute Jacob Devaney was sent off. The defeat left Hibernian in tenth place.
