Bodrum hosted several major maritime events in late 2026. The ILCA European Cup concluded on September 27, serving as preparation for the ILCA Under-21 European Championships. The latter event, organized by the B. B. Bodrumspor Club Sailing Department in collaboration with EurILCA and the Turkish Sailing Federation, featured up to 191 sailors from 42 countries. The championships included a parade through Bodrum and competition in the ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 categories. However, the event faced significant weather disruptions on the fourth day, as lightning, heavy rain, and shifting winds prevented races. At that stage, Marios Stathas led the men’s ILCA 7 class, while Ginevra Caracciolo led the women’s ILCA 6 class.

The 38th edition of The Bodrum Cup concluded with the vessel Daniel 1 claiming the general classification championship. The five-stage competition, covering 79 nautical miles, involved approximately 1,000 sailors and 90 boats. Daniel 1 also secured the Challenge Cup and the Bodrum Municipality Fidel Berber Special Award. Other winners included MIHO DS (Year Special Cup), Atlas G (Cruiser Cup), and Beliz G (Fastest in Bodrum).

The event supported the 25th anniversary of the Bodrum Ship, a sailing school vessel under the Bodrum and Carian Region Culture, Art and Promotion Foundation (BOSAV). Proceeds from SumOne collection sales and a closing Pinhani concert were donated to BOSAV for the ship’s maintenance and renovation.

Additionally, the second International Bodrum Fish Festival, BoBaFest, took place from October 2–4 at Akyarlar Karaincir Bay, featuring gastronomy workshops and the release of 6,000 juvenile fish.
