Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan have established a presence in County Waterford, Ireland, through the purchase of Strancally Castle. The neo-Gothic estate, which spans approximately 440 acres along the Blackwater River, was acquired for 51,171,155 euros. A spokesperson for the Meta founder indicated the property is intended to serve as the couple’s European base.

Following their relocation to the area, the couple donated €150,000 to three local Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) clubs: Shamrocks GAA in Knockanore, Tallow GAA in Tallow, and Lismore GAA in Lismore. The funds, distributed at €50,000 per club over two years, are intended to support local sports facilities and community programs near their new residence.
