Marko Šapit, a sports journalist and commentator, has transitioned from a nearly two-decade career at Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) to join the Croatian Water Polo Federation.

As the newly appointed Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Šapit is tasked with enhancing communication with partners and the public, managing social media and the federation’s website, and promoting Croatian water polo athletes and clubs. He noted that his move was motivated by a desire to implement changes that he felt unable to achieve within the HRT television system.

In addition to his administrative role, Šapit will continue his media presence by hosting the sports podcast ‘Tribina’ and providing commentary on European basketball for Sport Klub.
