Former Croatian international footballer Šime Vrsaljko and Slovenian designer Kaja Vidmar held a wedding ceremony near Zadar, Croatia, following a seven-year relationship. 

The celebration took place at Kraljevski Vinogradi, overlooking the Zadar archipelago. The couple, who share two children, included personal elements in the ceremony, such as a gold medallion on the bridal bouquet dedicated to Vidmar’s late father. Musical performances by Petar Grašo were part of the event. 

Reports noted an unconventional gift from Vrsaljko’s former teammate Danijel Subašić, who gifted him a donkey. Vrsaljko, who retired from professional football in 2023, previously played for clubs including Atlético Madrid and Dinamo Zagreb.
