Marriott International is expanding its hospitality footprint in Thailand through several development agreements.

Initially, Marriott signed an agreement with FICO Corporation to develop seven new hotels, adding 1,262 rooms across Bangkok, Pattaya, and Phuket. This expansion includes the JW Marriott brand and introduces citizenM, Four Points Flex by Sheraton, and Series by Marriott to the Thai market.

Further developments include a partnership with KS Hotels and Resorts to build two properties within the Matalay development in Khao Lak. These projects consist of the Moxy Khao Lak Memories Beach, the first of its kind in southern Thailand, and Matalay Khao Lak, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy. The Matalay development is a 200-hectare site featuring 4km of beachfront and will connect to the existing JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa.
