Arsenal FC has been working to secure a long term contract extension for captain Martin Ødegaard to solidify his future at the club. The London based team previously rejected various offers from European and Saudi Arabian clubs to demonstrate their commitment to the Norwegian midfielder.

Recent reports indicate that Ødegaard has expressed openness to a potential move to Bayern Munich. While no concrete negotiations are currently underway, representatives for the player have reportedly been in contact with the Bundesliga side for several years.

Arsenal management is prioritizing a new agreement to avoid the player entering the final year of his contract in 2027. If an extension is not reached, the club may consider selling him during the next summer transfer window.
