Former Bundesliga striker Martin Fenin transitioned to mixed martial arts (MMA) to rebuild his life following personal struggles with depression and addiction. At age 39, he prepared for his debut in the 84 kg division at the Eisstadion in Usti nad Labem.

During the Clash 17 event, Fenin faced Martin Kocián, a former singer. Despite sustaining facial injuries from an aggressive start by Kocián, Fenin used low kicks to wear down his opponent. Kocián, aged 50, eventually succumbed to exhaustion and could not continue. Following the match, Kocián announced his retirement from the Clash organization, stating, “I am 50 years old and I am ending my career here in Clash. I don't have it in me anymore.”

Fenin secured the victory, describing the win as emotionally significant for his family and noting his ultimate desire to return to football.
