Marvelous Inc. has announced Eternal Anima, a new role-playing game (RPG) previously referred to as ‘Project Life is RPG’. The game is scheduled for a worldwide release in March 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Developed by a team including director Katsuhisa Higuchi and writers Keisuke Makino and Kazushige Nojima, the game is set in the kingdom of Urvis Ael. The narrative follows a character named Wade who utilizes time-traveling abilities and a power called ‘Psychometry’ to interact with memories held in objects. 

Gameplay features include a turn-based combat system and a tactical mechanic known as ‘Prescience’ (or ‘Future Sight’), which allows players to predict and interrupt enemy actions. The project aims to evoke the aesthetic and feel of JRPGs from the late 1990s and early 2000s.
