# Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again production updates > Live situation record from CLSTR: https://clstr.news/situations/marvels-daredevil-born-again-production-updates > Updated: 2026-09-28T01:52:00.000Z. Sources: 101. Developments: 4. Marvel Studios has officially announced that the Disney+ series ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ will conclude with its third season, which is expected to premiere in 2027. This decision follows a significant decline in viewership; while the first season was a major success, recording 7.5 million views on Disney+ during its first five days in 2025, Luminate data suggests viewership for the second season dropped by approximately 50%. This conclusion mirrors the trajectory of the original Netflix ‘Daredevil’ series, which also ended after three seasons. The series' conclusion coincides with the departure of showrunner Dario Scardapane, whose contract was not renewed during the post-production phase. This has left the production without a clear leader to oversee the completion of the episodes. Actor Vincent D’Onofrio, who plays Wilson Fisk, has confirmed the third season is coming, expressing his affection for the character and noting that the final season will feature ‘some very cool stuff.’ The final season is anticipated to feature a significant crossover and a reunion of the ‘Defenders’ cast, including Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Finn Jones, and Elodie Yung. It is also expected to conclude the central conflict between Matt Murdock, played by Charlie Cox, and Wilson Fisk. Following the announcement, the ‘Fandom Without Fear’ released a statement expressing gratitude for the additional seasons and urging followers to ‘move forward’. Meanwhile, the ‘#SavedDaredevil’ fan community is organizing to ensure the character remains a presence within the Marvel Cinematic Universe through future projects, as Marvel reportedly develops other live-action titles such as the spy thriller ‘Zodiac’. Some observers suggest the conclusion of the series could potentially lead to a new saga under a different title. ## Claims - Season 3 of Daredevil: Born Again may feature a tense scene between Elektra and Bullseye.
